If you frequently work on Mercedes models from the late 1980s and 1990s, sooner or later you will be confronted with the task of overhauling the rear axle. The bushings are usually worn out and need to be pressed out. Some mechanics have probably already made their own suitable press tools and die kit. However, if you don't have your own lathe, you will quickly reach your limits. Working with unsuitable press tolls quickly ruins your control arm. Very unlucky especially if you want to stay with your factory fitted parts.
For this reason, we have designed a Press Tool and Die Kit for pressing out and pressing in the A2023520165 bushing. The support sleeve centres itself on the collar of the control arm (A2023500206). The press-out mandrel has a centring tip. This means that the work can be carried out without the assistance of additional personnel – we have already used it to press out a large number of heavily rusted bushings and press in new ones.
